Ufi VocTech Trust is a UK-based charity on a mission to improve adult vocational learning through technology. They do this through grant funding, collaborative initiatives with their Strategic Partners, and investments through Ufi Ventures, their investment arm.

Since April 2024, I’ve led the organic social media strategy and content delivery across both Ufi VocTech Trust and Ufi Ventures. My main priorities have focused on building visibility, increasing engagement, and directing increased traffic to their website, all while strengthening their position as thought leaders and key community players in the VocTech sector.
Since joining the team, I have refreshed Ufi’s organic content strategy across their social media channels. This began with an in-depth organic social media audit and strategy development. In August 2024, we then made the decision to retire Twitter/X and shift to a LinkedIn-first approach. We decided to use Bluesky as a supporting secondary channel.
Alongside sharing regular organic content balancing thought leadership, project updates, funding news, and organisational/team activity, I have also driven social media activity around key moments in their calendar. This includes creating specific campaign content for conferences, award ceremonies, grant funding rounds, and Strategic Partnership initiatives.
Throughout all the content created, maximising visibility and engagement has been a core priority. My work also includes close collaboration with internal teams and monitoring partner and portfolio activity to spotlight the full breadth of Ufi’s impact.
Results
We strategically reduced the number of posts published, focusing on sharing quality updates. We also saw a drop in posts due to removing Twitter/X as a channel. Despite this reduction in published posts, our organic social media results significantly outperformed the previous comparative period.
I’ve grown Ufi’s total followers across all platforms from 7,244 to 8,581, increased engagement rates from 4.56% to 7.38%, and boosted total link clicks from 7,207 to 12,771.
On LinkedIn specifically, I helped Ufi VocTech Trust gain a 49% increase in engagement rate (rising to 8.87%) and a 165% increase in link clicks month-on-month, while Ufi Ventures grew its audience by over 50% and nearly doubled its clicks despite publishing 29% fewer posts. Reactions, comments, and overall engagement levels all improved which highlights how the quality, consistency, and strategic alignment of this content is delivering measurable impact.
This strategic shift in organic content delivery for Ufi has helped put them at the heart of their community and the wider VocTech sector by curating a more intentional and effective online presence.
